The Trembly Law Firm is looking for a talented associate attorney to join its Litigation Department. The attorney will be working directly with the Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department. The department handles all types of matters for business owners and professionals including shareholder/partnership disputes, breach of contract cases, franchise disputes, employment discrimination defense, overtime/minimum wage defense, TCPA defense, ADA Title III defense, non-compete litigation, etc.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice law in Florida, and:

  • Have at least 2 years’ litigation experience
  • Possess good communication and problem solving skills
  • Be efficient
  • Be dedicated to achieving excellent results
  • Desire to protect and defend businesses and business owners
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be a person that is responsible, holds themselves accountable, and doesn’t make excuses
  • Possess a high proficiency in Word and knowledge of Excel, computerized calendaring, and task management
  • Have familiarity with Apple products (iMacs and MacBooks)
  • Be able to effectively manage multiple cases
  • Possess strong writing skills
  • Possess strong oral advocacy skills
  • Be able to handle pressure in court, depositions, etc.
  • Have a clean record with respect to malpractice judgments or bar grievance determinations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in business litigation in Florida
  • Experience in Federal Courts
  • Experience conducting evidentiary hearings
  • Trial experience (1st or 2nd chair)
  • Top 10% of graduating class from law school, member of Law Review, member of moot court, and/or member of trial team in law school preferred but not necessary
