Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Elias had always had an interest in practicing law. After receiving his JD from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, magna cum laude in 2002, and his LL.M. from Tulane University in Commercial Law, Elias was mentored by an experienced business attorney and has since then had a passion for working with entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes.

Having an influential mentor inspired Elias to be a critical thinker and problem solver. Elias understands that the function of law is to promote an environment of growth and security. What Elias truly enjoys is getting to know his client’s business in depth and use this knowledge to improve their corporate structure, anticipate potential issues and solve ongoing disputes. His preferred area of practice includes franchise law, negotiation and structuring acquisitions of businesses, including membership interest purchase agreements and disposition of corporate assets. He has also represented clients in structuring subscription agreements and private placement memorandums.

Aside from Business Law, Elias has represented clients in Chapter 11 and 12 proceedings, including debtors and creditors, and has represented debtors in Section 363 asset auctions. Elias is the chief legal officer of the Firm and chair of the General Counsel Division. He assists Trembly Law Firm’s clients with their corporate matters, including compliance, corporate governance, employment-related issues, franchise and licensing agreements and other general contracts. Elias also actively participates in the Civil Rights Committee of the Anti- Defamation League and is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and of the Florida Lawyers Network of Plantation. He is also admitted to practice in Florida and Puerto Rico.

In his personal time, Elias enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids cooking, going to theme parks and swimming. He is a cruise aficionado and enjoys traveling to new destinations. Elias is fluent in both Spanish and English and may be reached at info@tremblylaw.com.
